Know about Swine Flu

World Health Organization declared Influenza A virus H1N1 as pandemic which shook entire world as most cases originated from American continent. The Influenza A virus has 2 proteins on the surface of the virus Hemagglutinin ( H ) and Nueraminidase ( N ). These 2 proteins differ from strain to strain and they are assigned an H number & N number. It is said that 16 H and 9 N subtypes known in birds, H 1,2,3 and N 1 and 2 are seen regularly in humans.
